Showery and cold, today. Went shopping for food and for decorating stuff since we’re planning to redecorate the bedroom and Homebase had a ‘15% off everything’ weekend – too good a chance to miss.


Went for a walk after lunch – about 2½ miles (which turned out to be too far, still recovering) and then cooked.


We ate:

Roast beetroot and cream cheese stack (cheese flavoured with chives and shallots in alternate layers)

Daube Nicoise with tagliatelle

Crème caramel (Ali’s first attempt at this – it was good!)
