Stared the day with a cycle ride (not far after bad experiences a while ago, but progress)
Ended up being a busier day that we expected. Weather was OK, still getting colder of course. Shopping: Cat litter/dishwash tablets/torch/bread -- moderately eclectic, I suppose.
Made leek & potato soup for lunch (hence the bread).

Started preparation for decorating in the bedroom. Filling cracks (especially in the ceiling; they'll be back, though. As far as I can tell, our house was one of the first to use plasterboard ceilings - before this it was lath & plaster. Obviously, they didn't realise that there would be some movement of the sheets relative to each other, so the joints are just filled with plaster that drops out over time. Tried a new strategy of filling most of the gap with a very flexible filler & topping off with something harder that's easy to sand. We'll see, but i doubt if it's a long-term solution).

We ate:
Avocado/roasted peppers/mozzarella salad
Ali's Lassagne.
