Wednesday’s dinner was fishcakes with chips,
green beans, asparagus and tartare sauce (I cheated and bought the fishcakes,
but made everything else). Nice enough.
Thursday meant a visit to the Mother In Law in
Wales, so lunch at a garden centre (jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise) and
dinner at the local ‘Indian’ restaurant which is a pleasant, friendly
experience. I had nargis kebab followed by chicken biryani; Alison had a shami
kebab (sort-of a spicy lamb burger with an omelette on top) and chicken tikka masala.
Some good flavours and it’s take your own drink – though, to be fair, we
actually took Badoit!
Amazon sent an email saying they had delivered
an package I’d been waiting for, but in reality they hadn’t. had to spend part
of Friday morning sorting this on the phone. Presumably, there’s some Amazon Delivery
Driver enjoying my property somewhere!
One good thing was that our new ear defenders
for shooting have arrived! Dead easy to fit and really comfortable (should be
for that price, of course). 1st trial with them tomorrow.
Tonight, it’s my famous ‘sausage sludge’ (see
earlier posts) then a trip to see Tom Paxton in concert at Birmingham Town
Hall!
We’re off to Porto in Portugal at the weekend,
so probably no posts next week.
