The ‘engineer’ is
coming to look at the dishwasher this morning. I’m not very hopeful as it’s
around 12 years old and though it’s a good make (Bosch), it must be getting to
the end of its useful life. We’ll see. (By the way, I am amazed that
repair-persons are now called ‘engineers’!)
Dinner last night was really simple: chicken
risotto with sage. No tricks to this (apart from the importance of using
chicken thighs if you want tasty, tender meat), just a bit of care. The whole
thing took about 30 minutes including preparation and was very tasty.
Incidentally, I recommend the use of dried thyme, added with the rice; it seems
to have a more intense flavour.
Tuesday afternoon update: The engineer(s) came and decided that a new circuit board was needed, so they've gone off to order one and we now have to wait until it's in stock and then arrange another visit ... Oh well.
